Adding Travelwind to your home screen
Travelwind is a PWA (progressive web app): no app store needed, and still its own icon and its own window.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open Travelwind in Safari and log in.
- Tap the share icon (the square with the arrow up) at the bottom.
- Choose "Add to Home Screen" and tap "Add".
Android (Chrome)
- Open Travelwind in Chrome and log in.
- Tap the menu (the three dots) at the top right.
- Choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
How time zones work
An activity is stored as date + time + time zone, not as one absolute point in time. So 09:00 in Kyoto simply stays 09:00 in Kyoto, even while the clocks change back home. Every day also has its own time zone: your outbound day sits in your home zone, the rest of the trip in your destination's. When an activity sits in a different zone than the day itself (a flight, say), a clear label shows it. An end time before the start time automatically means "the next morning".
What works offline
The last loaded days of your current trip stay visible without coverage — handy on the train, the subway, or the plane. Adding or changing activities still needs a connection for now; that is coming in a future version.

Do I need an account?
Yes, so your trips are reachable from multiple devices and can be shared. Registering takes a minute and is free.
Can I plan several trips at once?
Yes. How many depends on your plan — see the pricing page.
Does Travelwind work for countries other than Japan and the Netherlands?
Right now those are the two available country packs. More are on the way; in the meantime you can plan a trip to another country using whichever pack fits best.
What happens to my data if I stop?
You can export your entire trip as a JSON file at any time. To have your account deleted, get in touch — see the privacy policy.
Is there an Android or iOS app in the app store?
Not as a standalone app store listing yet; Travelwind currently works as a PWA (see above). A Play Store version is on the roadmap.
